As a valued partner with NASA since the 1960s, RS&H started the project with a contract for HVAC repairs, which blossomed into laboratory repairs, laboratory design, and a master plan that would consolidate the ARES division from six buildings down to two.
RS&H led the design to deliver a unique building informed by the natural context, rich history, and culture of all the people who settled in the Lafayette area. Extensive research for the project included visiting museums and cultural centers and interviewing community leaders to inform the development of architectural design concepts.
This project involved the complete reconstruction of I-4, including the construction of 144 new bridges, major upgrades to 15 urban interchanges, new Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) within the FDOT right-of-way, and 21 miles of new tolled express lanes, two eastbound and two westbound.
