Engineering Projects

RS&H was part of the consultant team that developed and analyzed alternatives for the Grand Avenue Bridge replacement. RS&H provided project management, bridge and structural design, roadway alternatives, hydrology, traffic, environmental assessment, and post-design services.

The newly renovated facility truly services warriors' needs, providing vaccinations for American soldiers and research capabilities to address any disease that may surface in the field.

NASA Kennedy Space Center entrusted RS&H to vet the feasibility of and design modifications to the Space Launch System (SLS) Mobile Launcher. The 355-foot-tall mobile launcher is designed to support the assembly, testing, check out, and servicing of NASA’s SLS rockets, as well as transfer the rockets to the pad.

RS&H was tasked by environmental agencies to design the ends of the bridge to minimize impacts to coastal wetlands in order for the project to be permitted. We had the challenge of designing bridge bent locations to avoid a submerged aquatic vegetation area under part of the bridge.

The RS&H-designed Detroit Metropolitan Airport’s Runway and Associated Taxiways Reconstruction project earned Envision ‘Silver’ certification after being completed ahead of time, under budget, and diverting 99 percent of recyclable material from landfills.
