Water Resources Projects

Projects at Colorado Springs Airport included runway rehabilitations, apron rehabilitation, taxiway reconstructions, landside improvements, planning studies, and owner representation.

RS&H partnered with FDOT on the A1A project which included replacing five bridges in Jacksonville Beach and Neptune Beach in addition to widening/improving the outfall channel serving these communities.

These rest areas involve new construction of buildings, outbuildings, picnic pavilions, and concrete pavement to provide increased vehicular and heavy truck parking capacities.

The airport tasked the RS&H-led design team to develop a plan that provided flexibility for simultaneous deicing of five Group V (Airbus A350) or ten Group III (Boeing 737) aircraft, maximizing the airport’s operational capacity during winter months.

RS&H is providing design services for the I-70 West Vail Pass Auxiliary Lanes project, which is being completed through the construction manager/general contractor (CM/GC) delivery method.

Navigating Modern Roundabout Design: Avoiding Common Pitfalls
June 20, 2024By Stacey Sinclair, PE, ENV SP, Jeff Leugers, PE, Jeremiah Davis, PE

As more roundabouts are implemented across the United States, more data is being accumulated while standards and guidelines continue to be revised and developed to assist in successfully designing and installing these facilities.

For military construction, a well-choreographed and efficiently managed design charrette will make the first step in the project delivery journey decisive, efficient, and effective.

RS&H Vice President and National Project Control Leader, Bob Jones gives an in-depth look into project controls and how it keeps projects in budget and on time.
