RS&H has been an integral part of the airport’s development since 2009, leading significant projects ranging from terminal and apron expansions to new taxiways and landside enhancements, contributing to its position as one of the fastest-growing airports in the United States.
The airport tasked the RS&H-led design team to develop a plan that provided flexibility for simultaneous deicing of five Group V (Airbus A350) or ten Group III (Boeing 737) aircraft, maximizing the airport’s operational capacity during winter months.
RS&H led the design to deliver a unique building informed by the natural context, rich history, and culture of all the people who settled in the Lafayette area. Extensive research for the project included visiting museums and cultural centers and interviewing community leaders to inform the development of architectural design concepts.
RS&H led design for the renovation of Concourse D and the existing U.S. Customs Federal Inspection Services (FIS) facility and public area finishes, allowing the Airport to improve operational efficiency and enhance the level of service for passengers.
When the Gallatin Airport Authority launched a multi-phased, multi-year terminal development program at BZN, their desire was to create an architecture that is reflective of the real Montana.
Working with SLCDA, RS&H prepared a comprehensive master plan for SLC and a system plan for all three airports to define a coordinated path for development of all SLCDA’s airport facilities.
Recent growth in and around the Central Oregon area has resulted in a significant increase in aircraft traffic since the completion of the most recent Master Plan in 2018.
