RS&H developed a complete finite element model of the 240-foot aluminum double helical enclosure. The structural design of the plaza included tiered retaining walls, both cantilever and gravity, as well as the use of sheet pile walls.
We provided On-Call Airfield Engineering Design Services on an as-needed basis to maintain various airfield pavements and other civil-related facilities.
RS&H designed a shaker support stand for the Orion random vibration shaker test. The design incorporates a heavy duty commercially available gantry crane as the primary shaker support stand structure.
RS&H studied and designed renovations to the Kennedy Space Center Launch Control Center Firing Rooms, where launch operations are supervised and controlled. Maintaining operations during construction was also essential, as several shuttle launches took place during the renovation.
The new six-lane divided highway and bridge now serves as a critical hurricane evacuation route, a multi-modal transportation alternative including automobile, bicycle, pedestrian, and public transit accommodations, and includes an ADA-accessible canoe launch area.
