Leerie Jenkins, Jr. started at RS&H in Jacksonville in 1972 as a landscape architect, his first job after graduating college. Six years later, a Jacksonville native Joe Debs came home after graduating to join RS&H in hopes of becoming a transportation engineer.

RS&H has hired Daveitta Jenkins Knight, PE, as the Atlanta Office Leader in the engineering and architecture firm’s Transportation-Infrastructure Practice. For over two years, RS&H has directed preparation of a comprehensive airport master plan and update to the strategic relationships and roles of the three airports owned and operated by the Salt Lake City Department of Airports (SLCDA) to determine the future path of facility development.
RS&H has hired Bryan Kendro as a senior program management consultant in its Transportation-Infrastructure Practice. Kendro will help advance the architecture, engineering and consulting firm’s alternative project delivery, owner’s representative programs and projects on a regional and national level.
Each year, RS&H dedicates a portion of the firm’s corporate revenues to provide grants to nonprofit organizations in communities we serve. Earlier this month, the firm made its fourth donation from its Elevate Fund – $46,000 across nine nonprofit groups.
When RS&H associates Dan Carroll and Nick Patterson graduated from Michigan State University and drove to sunny Jacksonville, Florida, in 2004, the pair were excited to start their careers.

RS&H designed the Savannah airport’s new outbound baggage handling system (BHS) to be more efficient and a more comfortable work environment for Transportation Security Administration (TSA) employees. The project has done just that, and the results are award-winning.
Work is well underway to expand the highway to four lanes – part of the latest Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Three project, which involves widening 2.2 miles of U.S. 319 from north of State Road 267 to the Leon County Line in Wakulla County.
RS&H has donated $50,000 across 13 nonprofit groups through its Elevate Fund. The RS&H Elevate Fund supports associates in aiding the communities they work and live in by encouraging and funding volunteer and charitable activities that align with the company’s values.
