ENR Mountain States named Adam Mercer to its Top Young Professionals class.
The regional contests recognize up-and-coming design and construction industry professionals who exhibit notable achievements in terms of career and industry leadership, community service and creating landmark projects.
“I am truly honored to be considered as a top young professional in the Mountain States area,” Mercer said. “It has been a wonderful experience working for RS&H, and to be nominated for the accolades.
“I would just like to thank everyone that has believed in me, given me opportunities to excel, and trusted me to be a representative for our great company.”
Mercer has been instrumental in expanding RS&H’s footprint within the state of Virginia with a project win on the Route 29 Solutions Design-Build project. He was ultimately appointed to RS&H’s Virginia State Leader for Construction Management and grew RS&H’s presence in the state from two contracts to 10.
In 2017, Mercer helped expand his practice footprint to the West, as his design-build experience fulfilled the need for a key position on the Colorado Department of Transportation’s $1.2 billion Central 70 Design-Build project. He played a major role in securing the first win for the RS&H’s Transportation-Construction Management practice in Colorado and went on to become one of RS&H’s youngest vice presidents.
“Adam’s unique experience has helped mold his collaborative, project-first approach helping establish transparency and trust between the owner and contractor,” said RS&H Vice President and West Region CEI Leader Fred Holderness. “This approach has been instrumental on the Central 70 design-build project in Colorado, where all levels of the team work together to deliver the project at the highest quality while achieving the safety, financial, and project goals.”
