When RS&H associates Dan Carroll and Nick Patterson graduated from Michigan State University and drove to sunny Jacksonville, Florida, in 2004, the pair were excited to start their careers.

RS&H designed the Savannah airport’s new outbound baggage handling system (BHS) to be more efficient and a more comfortable work environment for Transportation Security Administration (TSA) employees. The project has done just that, and the results are award-winning.
Work is well underway to expand the highway to four lanes – part of the latest Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Three project, which involves widening 2.2 miles of U.S. 319 from north of State Road 267 to the Leon County Line in Wakulla County.

On one of the Florida Keys’ famous sun-soaked mornings, Jacki Hart offered a breath of fresh air to then CEO of the Keys Chamber of Commerce. Hart was managing the expansive North Roosevelt Blvd project, and maintaining business access along the critical roadway was a hot topic.
RS&H has hired Wendy Griffin in North Carolina to serve as senior tolls technology specialist for the transportation firm’s Tolls Service Group.
In a joint venture with Woolpert, RS&H is preparing specifications for the landscaping of the historic site, reviewing the technical design submittals for the southern expansion of the cemetery and improving wheelchair accessibility to the Memorial Amphitheater in preparation for the 100th anniversary.
RS&H launched Ignite, a Women’s Networking Association in September. The initiative aims to not only empower the women of RS&H through connection and mentoring opportunities but to support the company’s culture of inclusion and give associates an opportunity to participate in like-minded community causes.
Scott Cole has joined RS&H as the engineering and architecture consulting firm’s North Carolina Senior Transportation Leader.
