RS&H is working with the Florida Department of Transportation to identify and prioritize vulnerabilities to flooding along the corridor and develop concepts to ensure the continuation of service following a flooding event now and in the future.
With RS&H’s support, the TPO has documented 112 million gasoline gallons equivalent (GGE) displacement and over 141,000 tons of GHG emissions – equivalent to the annual emissions of over 30,000 passenger vehicles and $48,000,000 in health benefits.
RS&H performed design and bid phase services to reconstruct Taxiway J from Taxiway Z to Taxiway Y and connect Taxiways K7, K8, and their associated safety areas.
Over the past 30 years, RS&H has supported continuous, data-driven sustainability performance improvement for the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA), which operates a worldwide network of over 280 commissaries and central distribution centers.
As the airport's prime design consultant, RS&H identified innovative solutions that minimized impacts so that the airport could continue to provide a world-class travel experience for its passengers.
RS&H provided design services for the rehabilitation of 11 miles of Reagan Memorial Tollway (I-88), a 40-year-old roadway that plays a critical role within the local, regional, and statewide transportation system.
RS&H led development of the Customer Criteria Documents (CCD), including preliminary building layouts, and validated the cost estimate for a new 62,000-square-foot Squadron Operations Facility. Upon completion of the CCD, RS&H provided multidiscipline architecture and engineering design services for this new facility.
RS&H’s design team successfully addressed several areas of complexity. In addition to developing an operational layout for the unique functional areas of the building, the designers had to consider the existence of contaminated soil and potential dewatering on the project site.
The newly renovated facility truly services warriors' needs, providing vaccinations for American soldiers and research capabilities to address any disease that may surface in the field.
The Houston Airport System (HAS) operates three airports: George Bush Intercontinental Airport/Houston (IAH), William P. Hobby Airport (HOU), and Ellington Airport (EFD).
This unique airport design changed the image of Tampa as a community and is still regarded today as one of the best terminal designs in the world.
As part of the leadership team’s commitment to sustaining a high level of service for the community, Eugene Airport is exploring options to support the increasing travel demands, including an option that facilitates an airport expansion.
