[Baltimore, MD] RS&H announced this week that Janie Tiedeman, PE, has been appointed as the new East Region Leader for Infrastructure. With more than three decades of experience, she has spent the last 2.5 years as Maryland State Leader for RS&H, where she has been responsible for growing the firm’s presence in an emerging market. Before joining RS&H, Tiedeman was the southeast regional transportation business line leader for an ENR top design firm. In that role, she led the strategic growth and operations for the multimodal transportation practice in Maryland, Virginia, the District of Columbia, and West Virginia.

“We are looking forward to the expertise and vision that Janie will bring to this role,” said Rodney Bishop, Jr., PE, Executive Vice President of Infrastructure Business Unit. RS&H’s leaders are stewards of the firm’s overall values and vision. As seasoned subject matter experts, RS&H leaders propel the company forward to achieve the firm’s vision of being the industry’s employer of choice, providing best-in-class service, and remaining employee-owned. “During her tenure [at RS&H], Janie has been an exceptional asset to our leadership pool,” added Bishop.

“I am excited about this opportunity and looking forward to working with our talented team to serve our clients and continue growing RS&H for all of our employee owners,” said Tiedeman.
Tiedeman is a multi-state licensed engineer with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master of Science in Structural Engineering from the University of Maryland. As a senior vice president and officer of the company, she is actively involved in the growth and well-being of the firm and currently serves as chair of RS&H’s inaugural Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Steering Committee.
