Morgan County named to Jacksonville 40 Under 40

May 15, 2019

When Morgan County was beginning his engineering career nearly 20 years ago, he was passed along some advice that still sticks with him today: Whatever it is you are asked to do, do it well, and the rest will fall into place.

In 16 years with RS&H, County has risen up through the ranks to become a Vice President and the Jacksonville Office Leader for the firm’s Transportation-Infrastructure Practice. Now, he has been recognized for his work and leadership in his community, as County has been named to the Jacksonville Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 class of 2019.

County now oversees the efforts of 60 associates. He and his team have provided innovative transportation solutions to the Florida Department of Transportation, Jacksonville Transportation Authority, the City of Jacksonville, and other public agencies.

“Morgan is one of Northeast Florida’s brightest and most influential professionals,” said RS&H Vice President Kim Holland, who nominated County for the 40 Under 40 honor. “As an executive, leader, mentor, and advocate, Morgan works hard every day for the betterment of the First Coast and to improve the lives of everyone around him.”

County is serving as Project Officer on FDOT’s First Coast Expressway project, a 46-mile expressway connecting Duval, Clay, and St. Johns Counties. In 2018, County received RS&H’s Professional Practitioner of the Year Award for exceptional leadership and client service.

County has furthered his industry by serving on the Leadership Advisory Committee for the Florida Engineering Society, which supports engineering education, promotes the ethical and competent practice of engineering and enhances the image and well-being of all engineers in the State of Florida. Morgan also serves on the Engineering Advisory Board at the University of North Florida, helping the college maintain its ABET Accreditation.
