Lisa Robert Elected to ARTBA National Board

October 3, 2019

For the first time, the Washington, D.C.-based American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) will have an RS&H associate on its national officers’ board.

RS&H Executive Vice President Lisa Robert has been elected to the 14-member board as Vice Chair At-Large. Additionally, Robert will take part in ARTBA’s strategic planning initiative.

“To have a seat at the table that are making broader decisions on the focus and efforts of ARTBA, it’s incredibly exciting to be a part of that conversation,” Robert said.

ARTBA is a non-partisan federation whose primary goal is to aggressively grow and protect transportation infrastructure investment to meet the public and business demand for safe and efficient travel. Leaders from some of the largest transportation engineering and contracting firms in the nation support the organization.

“For RS&H, it goes back to what ARTBA’s charge is – to advocate for sustainable transportation funding and regulations that support and drive transportation efforts on a national basis,” Robert said. “To be involved creates accessibility to Washington and relationships with ENR-top-100 companies across the U.S. as we work together to solve transportation challenges.”

RS&H has supported ARTBA for more than a decade, often sending associates to the organization’s Industry Leader Development Program. Robert has been an ARTBA member for eight years, serving as ARTBA Women Leaders Council Chair the last few years.

ARTBA announced the election of its 2019-2020 officers in September during an annual business meeting at the association’s national convention in Savannah, Georgia.
