RS&H has hired Greg Wissman as a Senior Project Manager for the national engineering and architecture firm’s Maryland office. Wissman will manage transportation and infrastructure projects for the firm across its Mid-Atlantic footprint.

Wissman brings to RS&H 14 years of experience in the region, having been involved with all aspects of highway design, roadway improvements, site design, bicycle compatibility and ADA compliance, program management, utility and permitting coordination, and final construction documents. His client base includes the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) and Maryland Transit Administration (MDOT MTA), District Department of Transportation (DDOT), and the Baltimore City Department of Transportation.

At RS&H, Wissman will be engaged in the delivery of the I-495 / I-270 P3 program, which features improvements for over 70 miles of interstate in Maryland including the Capital Beltway.

“I am looking forward to growing my career here while helping RS&H become more established in the Mid-Atlantic region,” he said. “Having the opportunity to work on the I-495 / I-270 P3 project is a big draw for me.”

Previously, Wissman served as the SHA consultant project manager for the MD 32 Phase II and U.S. 219 design-build projects with values of $85 million and $45 million, respectively. He was responsible for maintaining project coordination between MDOT SHA, the design-build team and other stakeholders, and leading partnering meetings to discuss construction activity and project issues.

Wissman also served as an on-site consultant Program Manager for MDOT SHA District 2’s System Preservation Fund (Fund 77). He was responsible for managing budgets, coordinating pavement improvements, developing new project candidates, preparing areawide contracts and leading coordination for the program.

“We’re excited to welcome Greg to RS&H as we continue to grow our capabilities here and across the Mid-Atlantic region,” said RS&H Vice President and Maryland State Leader Janie Tiedeman. “He will be a great asset for us, our work and our clients.”

Wissman comes to RS&H from McCormick Taylor, where he was also a Senior Project Manager. He earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering at Bucknell University in 2008.
