RS&H has hired Daveitta Jenkins Knight, PE, as the Atlanta Office Leader in the engineering and architecture firm’s Transportation-Infrastructure Practice. Knight will support the Atlanta office in all functions including financial accountability, marketing and business development, human resources and project delivery.

“There has been a huge opportunity for the RS&H Atlanta office to grow, and what we needed was some star power,” said RS&H Vice President and Georgia State Leader Chris Jackson. “We needed a local, proven, industry-respected transportation project manager who could lead people, projects and pursuits.”

Knight arrives at RS&H after spending the past 20 years in the private sector where she served as lead design engineer and project manager for several major program management and design contracts for highway and bridge projects.

She began her career with the Georgia Department of Transportation, remaining there for six years while working her way up from roadway engineer to project manager to assistant design group manager in the Office of Urban Design.

“We are excited to welcome Daveitta to RS&H,” said Jackson. “She possesses a unique skillset after working in both the public and private sector with experience ranging from transportation engineering and project management to design, consulting, program management and design-build.”

Knight was selected by Engineering Georgia Magazine as one of the 100 Most Influential Women in Georgia and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the WTS Foundation.

Knight earned her bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
