Gareth Hanley Elected as The Florida Airports Council Corporate Committee Vice Chair

[Tampa, Fla.]—RS&H’s Senior Consultant, Aviation Planning, Gareth Hanley, AICP, CM, has been elected Vice Chair of the Corporate Committee for the Florida Airports Council (FAC). This important role positions Hanley to potentially assume the Chair position within the next two years, further reinforcing his dedication to advancing and strengthening the aviation industry in Florida.   

Hanley has built a distinguished reputation through his leadership on critical airfield, terminal, and air cargo planning projects throughout Florida, including efforts at Pensacola International Airport, Tampa International Airport, and Southwest Florida International Airport. His proficiency in delivering comprehensive master plans, site-specific development initiatives, and advanced simulation-driven analyses has made him a trusted advisor to the state’s busiest airports.   

RS&H has been a long-term and active member of FAC, engaging in its events and committee work year-round. “Gareth’s leadership role with FAC highlights RS&H’s commitment to supporting our associates’ professional development and to advancing standards and innovation within Florida’s aviation sector,” said Michael Becker, CM, AICP, Associate Vice President and National Discipline Leader, Aviation Planning at RS&H. “I’m confident that Gareth’s skills and experience will make a real impact at FAC, and across Florida’s entire aviation industry. “Beyond his work with FAC, Hanley is a recognized participant in broader aviation forums. He currently serves on the board of the Tony Jannus Distinguished Aviation Society and has held previous leadership positions within the Airport Consultants Council and Airports Council International – North America. Hanley was the recipient of RS&H’s Young Professional of the Year Award in 2019, reflecting his focus on professional excellence and innovation.
