[Baltimore, MD] – Employee-owned, national engineering, architecture and consulting firm RS&H has welcomed Brian Young as Associate Vice President and Maryland Transportation Leader. He will be responsible for leading the firm’s operations and growth in the transportation sector across the state.

“Brian will play a key role in driving RS&H’s growth and continued exceptional level of service our clients have come to expect,” said Janie Tiedeman, RS&H Senior Vice President and East Region Leader for Infrastructure. “His extensive experience in the Baltimore and Washington, D.C. areas and leadership within the industry will be pivotal as we deliver exceptional services to existing and new clients.”

With nearly 30 years of experience in transportation engineering, Young brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to RS&H. After receiving his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Morgan State University, he built his career with the Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA), where he served for 23 years, most recently as the District Engineer for SHA District 3. In this role, he managed district-wide functions, including construction, maintenance, project development, traffic engineering, access management coordination, fleet management, facility management, and human resources. In his role as a consultant after leaving SHA, he has continued to be a trusted partner to our clients and has focused on business development of Maryland markets.
