RS&H Re-Selected by NASA for Johnson Space Center Work

May 5, 2017

Building on more than 50 years of work with America’s space program, RS&H has been re-selected by NASA for a third 5-year, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract for architecture and engineering services at Johnson Space Center.

The total amount of contract authorizations to the three firms selected by NASA could add up to $24 million. Of the four previous contract design firms, RS&H is the only firm to be re-selected for the contract.

“We have a great team designed to expand upon the services RS&H has provided to Johnson Space Center over the past 10 years, said RS&H Vice President Steven Moore, who manages the firm’s Aerospace and Defense Practice. “All of our team members are intimately familiar with JSC planning, design, and construction projects and standards, so we’re well-equipped for the work.”

As part of the contract, RS&H will be tasked with performing design analysis, planning, development, computer-aided design and drafting (CADD), pre-design site-assessment, feasibility and conceptual studies, design, geotechnical investigations and reports, environmental investigations, studies and reports, abatement and sampling, construction documentation, cost estimates, value engineering, life cycle costing, and post design services (PDS).

The types of projects anticipated under the contract include designing and renovating office buildings, research facilities and laboratories, as well as upgrading utilities, environmental work and making general site improvements.
