[Jacksonville, Fla.] Employee-owned RS&H, a leading architecture, engineering, and consulting firm, today announced the appointment of Jessica “Jess” Baker, SEP, to the newly created role of director of digital solutions. This strategic hire underscores the firm’s commitment to delivering transformative digital products and services, advancing its 2030 strategic plan to embed innovation across all operations and markets.

Baker will lead a Digital Center of Excellence, dedicated to developing, scaling, and commercializing intelligent solutions that enhance efficiency and client value. Her leadership will be instrumental in expanding the firm’s digital product and service portfolio and creating new revenue models aligned with the evolving needs of the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) industry.

“Jess brings a remarkable depth of technical expertise and strategic vision that directly supports our vision to deliver solutions that inspire,” said Carlo Morgano, Chief Technology Officer. “Her role is pivotal to our 2030 strategic plan, which prioritizes increasing value to clients through digital products and consulting services. Jess’s proven ability to translate complex challenges into scalable, tech-driven solutions will accelerate our progress and amplify our impact.”

With 26 years of experience in technical strategy and systems engineering, Baker has a distinguished track record of delivering emerging solutions and core digital infrastructure to federal, state and private-sector clients, including extensive work with departments of transportation.

“Jess’s unique blend of entrepreneurial spirit, digital technology acumen, and innovation incubation and acceleration program management makes her the ideal leader to spearhead our digital solution strategic initiatives,” said Jessica Chambers, Vice President of Digital Technologies & Solutions. “Her expertise in artificial intelligence and machine learning platforms, data automation and application development will be a tremendous asset as we build internal capabilities and foster a culture of co-innovation with our clients and partners.”

In her new role, Baker will focus on commercializing AI-driven analytics, fostering client co-innovation through pilot programs, and partnering with business units to identify high-value opportunities that drive sustained competitive advantage.

“RS&H sees the market shifts and the impact emerging technologies like AI, human-machine teaming, digital twins and data fabrics are having on our clients’ operations and how we digitize and deliver projects as well,” said Baker. “We have deep domain knowledge and technical expertise. I look forward to what can be accomplished through and by our teams when we structure environments that accelerate the art of the possible for the benefit of our clients.”
