[Atlanta, GA]— RS&H recently welcomed Tim Lee, PE, to the national engineering, architecture, and consulting firm as a principal electrical engineer. In his new role, Lee will serve as a design leader and subject matter expert for aviation electrical and military projects and pursuits, collaborate in developing aviation electrical design approaches, and mentor the firm’s emerging staff.

“Tim’s in-demand knowledge of design and construction of airfield systems and his reputation for precision make him an invaluable addition to our firm,” said Rob Roseman, PE, LEED AP, Associate Vice President of Electrical Engineering. “He brings a unique skill set to his role, and we’re confident that his expertise will enhance our ability to deliver innovative solutions to our clients.”

With over 30 years of experience in facilities, hydrant fueling, and aviation projects, Lee is an expert in specialties such as NAVAIDs, instrument landing systems, and military airfields. His thorough understanding of the Federal Aviation Administration and military regulations, coupled with his knowledge of aviation best practices, makes him a respected leader in the industry.

Lee graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering. He is a licensed professional engineer, a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Industrial Applications Society, and a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society Aviation Lighting Committee. Lee regularly presents at industry conferences regarding critical aspects of projects and methods for maintaining robust as-built documentation and asset management.

“Over the past 30 years, I have been fortunate to work on a fairly wide variety of projects, from building facilities and hangars to fueling hydrant systems to lighting and NAVAIDs for runways,” said Lee. “I’m now at a point in my career where I feel like I have something to offer the younger engineers, to mentor and answer their questions, and help nudge them towards good solutions.”
