Federal Engineering & Design

Protecting, Sustaining & Advancing Through Federal Infrastructure Design & Construction Management

As war became imminent in 1941, RS&H’s founders came together to form one of the nation’s first full-service architecture and engineering firms, dedicated to supporting America’s mobilization. Building on this foundational commitment, we have since evolved into trusted architects and engineering partners for federal government facilities, serving agencies across the United States and overseas.

For more than eight decades, RS&H has delivered new construction, renovations, and commissioning projects for the Department of War, the U.S. Navy, Air Force, and Army, as well as federal agencies including the Department of Energy, Veterans Affairs, FEMA, and the National Park Service. Our expertise encompasses everything from essential community support buildings to high-performing mission facilities and critical airfields, ensuring reliable federal government building design and resilient military infrastructure solutions.

Our integrated teams understand federal criteria and standards, enabling us to deliver sustainable, cost-effective solutions. Whether you need secure facility design for government agencies, defense facility architecture, or federal environmental consulting, RS&H is ready to help you achieve your mission.
