Pardon the Disruption: Future‑Proofing Bridges & Pavements

State DOTs face mounting challenges in preserving aging bridges and pavements amid heavier loads, climate impacts, funding uncertainty, workforce constraints, and rapid technological change. This panel brings together senior DOT leaders to share proven, “back‑to‑basics” preservation strategies delivering value today, while exploring how emerging tools—such as data analytics, AI, drone inspections, advanced materials, and resilience planning—are shaping the future. Attendees will gain practical insights to strengthen preservation programs, reduce long‑term risk, and extend asset service life.
