RS&H associates recently volunteered their time to sort food at the distribution center for Feeding Northeast Florida, a Jacksonville food bank. Food sorters play a critical role in ensuring quality and safety of food items prior to leaving the facility. Donations can include anything from pantry items to fresh produce.

RS&H signed shirt.

Collectively, the associates sorted through 6,825 pounds of donations. This many pounds of food is expected to create 5,288 meals for children, families, seniors, and veterans in need. After the shift was over, the team happily signed an RS&H 75th anniversary t-shirt and hung it on renowned the “wall of shirts.”

About Feeding Northeast Florida

Estimates project that there are over a quarter-million people in Northeast Florida unable to afford enough to eat. Feeding Northeast Florida (FNEFL) aims to relieve their hunger by providing millions of meals to over 180 community partners in the region.

The organization began their efforts to combat hunger in 2014. They now serve eight counties in Northeast Florida, providing food and grocery products to 117 nonprofit, religious, and charitable groups who then distribute that food to those in need.
