RS&H Celebrates Multiple Awards for Project and Delivery Excellence Across the Nation

[Jacksonville, Fla.] – RS&H, a leading architecture, engineering and construction management firm, is proud to announce a trio of prestigious awards recognizing its commitment to sustainable design, engineering excellence, and transformative infrastructure solutions. These accolades underscore RS&H’s dedication to partnering with clients to create innovative, impactful solutions that enhance communities and set new industry standards. 

U.S. 183A Phase III Named No. 10 in Roads & Bridges Top 10 Roads Awards

RS&H’s U.S. 183A Phase III project in Leander and Liberty Hill, Texas, earned a spot as No. 10 in this year’s Roads & Bridges Top 10 Roads Awards. This 6.6-mile toll road extension addressed major bottlenecks and over-capacity frontage roads, significantly improving mobility, safety, and freight movement in the region. 

As the prime CEI consultant, RS&H delivered high-quality infrastructure improvements that drive regional and economic development. Through proactive oversight and stakeholder coordination, we advanced multimodal connectivity and strengthened long-term community resilience in a rapidly growing area. This recognition highlights RS&H’s ability to deliver impactful solutions that address complex transportation challenges.

Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) Region 2 Bridge Bundle Design-Build Project Earns ACEC Excellence Award

The CDOT Region 2 Bridge Bundle (R2B2) Design-Build project was recognized with an Excellence Award at the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) Colorado Engineering Excellence Awards. This project, a collaboration with CDOT, prime construction contractor Capital Tezak JV, and designer Wilson & Co., exemplifies innovation, teamwork, and community impact. Other firms on RS&H’s team included Granite Engineering GroupWSP USABasis PartnersERO ResourcesCommunications Infrastructure Group, and Geocal. 

This video, produced by ACEC, features Jeremy Haywood, PE, PMP and Randy Furst, PE, highlighting the unique challenges that the project team overcame to deliver solutions that enhance safety, connectivity, and resilience across the region.  

In addition to R2B2, the I-70 Mt. Vernon Emergency Escape Ramp project, for which RS&H provided CM and inspection services, also received an ACEC Colorado Excellence Award, further showcasing the firm’s dedication to engineering excellence and community-focused design. 

Park Economy 3 Expansion at RDU Wins AAAE Airports Going Green 2025 Sustainable Infrastructure Development Project Award

Earlier this month, the Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority (RDUAA) was honored with the 2025 Award for Sustainable Infrastructure Development Project at the AAAE Airports Going Green Conference in Tampa. This recognition highlights the sustainable design and construction practices incorporated into the Park Economy 3 Expansion project, led by RS&H as the lead designer and Balfour Beatty as the Construction Manager at Risk. 

The project achieved Platinum Envision verification and features groundbreaking elements, including solar-covered pedestrian walkways, submerged gravel wetlands, EV charging stations, innovative wayfinding design, and a 75% target for construction waste diversion. The Project also features a collaborative partnership with North Carolina State University to study the stormwater controls and an innovative environmental review process with extensive public and stakeholder engagement. These efforts reflect RS&H and RDU’s commitment to sustainable and resilient infrastructure development, fostering community partnerships, and effective resource and land management.
