National SAME award.

At the 2015 Joint Engineer Training Conference & Expo, RS&H was awarded the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) Seymour S. Greenfield Sustaining Member Award for Medium Sized Companies.

“We’re honored to help support SAME’s mission in providing support and educational outreach to engineering components of the public, military, uniformed services and federal, state, and local government agencies that are responsible for the nation’s infrastructure and national security,” said Steve Moore, RS&H’s Aerospace & Defense Practice Director and Senior Vice President.

As the sixth firm to receive this recognition since it began in 2009, this prestigious award is only given to firms who invest in the society through leadership positions at the local, regional, and national levels, as well as support young member participation in activities and mentoring programs.

RS&H has been a continuous member of the following posts for five years and some for more than 20 years: Albuquerque, Baltimore, Boston, Dallas, Fort Hood, Fort Worth, Hampton Roads, Jacksonville, Kentuckiana, Mobile, Pikes Peak, San Antonio, Savannah, Space Coast, and Tampa Bay.

Our associates are dedicated to the development of SAME and have served within many posts as elected officers, directors, committee chairs, and members. We’re supporters of SAME initiatives and events and place a strong emphasis on programs, such as STEM, professional education, young member, and mentoring, which aid in the development of our youth. We’re committed to supporting grades K-12, college outreach, and community service activities.

In addition to our dedication to these programs, RS&H supports the advancement of small businesses by participating and sponsoring events that focus on increasing small business visibility and opportunities within our industry.

“As a firm that was founded in 1941 and helped support our military during war, RS&H is proud to be a part of SAME,” Moore added.

SAME unites architecture, engineering, construction, facility management, and environmental entities and individuals in the public and private sectors to prepare for and overcome natural and manmade disasters, and to improve security at home and abroad. Receiving this award further establishes RS&H as a leading firm in the worldwide defense market.
