Jacksonville, FLARS&H, the employee-owned, national engineering, architecture, and consulting firm, has announced the appointment of Carlo Morgano as the new Chief Technology Officer, effective March 18th. This strategic transition follows the retirement of Don Roberts, an industry veteran who has dedicated over 35 years to the information technology (IT) field, with the last eight devoted to shaping RS&H’s technological landscape. During his tenure at RS&H, Roberts spearheaded numerous advancements and updates in the company’s technological infrastructure. Under his guidance, RS&H joined the future of technological evolution to deploy cutting-edge software solutions that revolutionized clients’ interactions with the firm. Roberts’ strategic vision and expertise in emerging technologies have been instrumental in keeping RS&H at the forefront of the industry.

“As I embark on this new chapter of my life, I’m incredibly grateful for the journey I’ve shared with RS&H,” said Roberts. “While I bid farewell to my role as CTO, I’m confident that RS&H is in capable hands, and I look forward to witnessing the continued success of the firm.”

“Don’s contributions to RS&H have been invaluable,” said RS&H Chief Executive Officer Dave Sweeney, PE. “His passion and commitment have helped shape the technological landscape of our firm. We’re immensely grateful for his years of service and wish him all the best in his well-deserved retirement.”

Carlo Morgano, a seasoned IT executive with a proven track record of driving digital transformation and delivering results, is stepping into Roberts’ shoes as the new chief technology officer. With over two decades of experience in IT and cybersecurity, Morgano has led numerous successful initiatives and earned recognition for his knowledge and leadership.

Prior to joining RS&H, Morgano led technology strategy and implementation at an ENR Top 50 design firm, which equipped him with invaluable insights into industry trends and best practices. This background will enable him to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, fostering communication and alignment to further RS&H’s mission of creating a more connected future and providing exceptional service to clients and communities.

“I’m looking forward to collaborating with RS&H’s team of professionals to deliver impactful projects, enhance colleague and client experiences, foster growth, and build on RS&H’s strong technology culture,” said Morgano. “The firm’s history of strong leadership and stance as an employee-owned company were important to me when considering the next step in my career.”

As CTO, Morgano will develop and lead the firm’s technology vision to enable and accelerate business objectives. He will deliver the IT strategy to provide business systems, process automation, and decision support that drive operational results and shepherd the project technology best practices necessary for efficient, innovative, and high-quality deliverables. In his new role, Morgano’s demonstrated commitment to leveraging the latest IT advancements will enhance RS&H’s offerings and deliver even greater value to clients.

Morgano holds a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Management Information Systems from Duquesne University. Morgano is also a passionate volunteer with The Mentoring Partnership of Southwestern PA, an organization that provides young people with positive mentors in the area.
