Route 29 Widening
RS&H provided Independent Assurance and Independent Verification (IA/IV) services as Owner Representative to VDOT for the US Route 29 Solutions Design-Build project. The US Route 29 Solutions program was made up of three individual design-build projects. The Route 29 Widening project expanded Route 29 from four to six lanes by adding an additional lane on both sides of the highway for 1.8 miles. Improvements included reconstruction of sections of the existing highway to eliminate sight-distance deficiencies and improve overall safety, and the construction of a paved multiuse path.
