Route 28 (Centreville Road) Widening
RS&H was selected to provide pre-award and post-award engineering support and construction phase independent assurance/independent verification sampling and testing for this estimated $60M design-build project. The construction scope of work includes widening of Route 28 from four to six lanes from the Prince William County/Fairfax County line to the Route 29 interchange. The ultimate goal is to widen the roadway to eight lanes from Compton Road to Route 29 in the future. Additional items of work include multiple intersection improvements, upgrades to existing traffic signals, and construction of new 10’ shared-use paths on both sides of Route 28.
