Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Pediatrics
This 2,262-square-foot pediatric rehabilitation suite was renovated and expanded from an existing space that was small and compartmentalized.
The rehabilitation suite was designed for children with physical disabilities and included specialty equipment to assist with their road to recovery.
Not only is the space full of fun and creative outlets, but the design also serves as a functional component. From target markers to help with guided distance, to walking paths that provide a directional goal and aids with balance skills, the floors were designed with the children’s therapy in mind to work injunction with the specialty equipment. An interactive video projector is projected from the ceiling onto the floor and displays fun games that encourage movement and play.
With the patient experience in mind, our team created a colorful, playful, and inviting space for children to feel safe, relaxed, and empowered. From bright colors to bold patterns, the rehabilitation suite enhances imagination while reducing any anxiety and stress brought on by being in a medical space.
