RS&H has a long-standing history of supporting NASA’s aerospace endeavors, which has given the firm firsthand insight into the requirements and challenges facing both government and private launch providers.
RS&H designed a shaker support stand for the Orion random vibration shaker test. The design incorporates a heavy duty commercially available gantry crane as the primary shaker support stand structure. The gantry crane is fitted with an electrical trolley hoist that provides powered operation for lateral translation and vertical lifting/lowering of the 10,000-lb shaker and supporting structure.

RS&H provides design and construction administration services for the RDU Park Economy 3 Expansion project, which nearly triples the parking capacity while enhancing environmental performance, sustainability and resilience as demonstrated by Envision Platinum verification and LEED certification.
As the prime consultant and engineer of record, RS&H designed this critical extension, which adds approximately 2,300 feet of a new 75-foot-wide taxiway with 30-foot shoulders, resulting in dual parallel taxiways on the north airfield.
