I-10 Milling and Resurfacing
RS&H provided construction engineering and inspection (CEI) services for I-10 milling and resurfacing construction projects located in several northern counties in Florida.
In Columbia County, the 10.6-mile project included milling 2.5 inches and resurfacing the travel lanes with two inches of structural asphalt and 0.75 inch of FC-5, box culvert and drainage extensions, guardrail improvements, four superelevated curve cross slope corrections, project signing updates, rumble strip installation and motorist aide call box improvements to meet ADA standards.
In Nassau and Baker counties, the project was 6.5 miles and included milling 2.5 inches and resurfacing the travel lanes with three inches of structural asphalt and 0.75 inch of bonded friction course, stress-absorbing membrane interlayer installations at bridge approaches, three superelevated curve cross slope corrections, resurfacing of the US 121 and SR 228 ramps, guardrail improvements, drainage improvements, bridge joint repairs and rehabilitation, and motorist aide call box improvements.
In another project in Baker County, the nine-mile project included milling 2.5 inches and resurfacing the travel lanes with two inches of structural asphalt and 0.75 inch FC-5, box culvert and drainage extensions, guardrail improvements, rest area ramp resurfacing, project signing updates, four superelevated curve cross slope corrections, and motorist aide call box improvements to meet ADA standards.
In Suwannee County, the 5.9-mile project included milling 2.5 inches and resurfacing the travel lanes with two inches of structural asphalt and 0.75 inch of FC-5, resurfacing of the Agricultural Inspection Station used a fuel-resistant pavement, guardrail improvements, bridge joint repairs, project signing updates, and motorist aide call box improvements to meet ADA standards.
