Assessment & Remediation
RS&H’s teams of geologists, hydrogeologists, and engineers have performed hundreds of assessment and remediation projects throughout the U.S. and the Caribbean basin. We focus on the rapid cleanup of contamination sites to minimize the extent and cost of remediation.
Drawing on our in-depth understanding of fractured bedrock, karst, and alluvial/coastal plain sediments, we characterize the subsurface environment to develop a cost-effective remedial strategy for pollutants, such as hydrocarbons, solvents, heavy metals, and others. Our assessment and remediation projects include work with the U.S. military, the federal government, U.S. oil and gas interests, private industry, and state and local governments.
Our regulatory experience includes Superfund (Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act, CERCLA), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), and state administration remediation programs.
