David Furry leads by example, acting ethically even when no one is watching and fostering trust through transparency, fairness, and follow-through, all of which earned him the 2025 Values in Action award. He’s deeply committed to personal and professional growth—not just for himself, but for those around him—mentoring colleagues and leading a book club that challenges associates to think differently and grow.
David’s leadership extends far beyond RS&H, through active involvement in the American Council of Engineering Companies and the Florida Engineering Society. Additionally, as a Florida Engineering Leadership Institute (FELI) 2024 alumnus, David helped deliver STEM resources to schools across the state as part of his class’s philanthropic project. He consistently inspires others to be the best version of themselves, creating a culture of accountability, innovation, and care that elevates our entire organization.

David’s career with RS&H began almost 20 years ago, when he joined as an intern in the Tampa, FL office. He was offered a job right out of college and has been with the firm ever since. “RS&H has continued to provide growth opportunities over the years for which I am extremely grateful,” and when asked what this award means to him, David said, “Although the goal is always to contribute to your work and your team regardless of recognition, acknowledgement provides the fuel of joy that what you are doing is providing meaningful impact for your teammates.”
As a graduate of the FELI class of 2024, one of David’s proudest moments in his career so far is being supported by RS&H leadership to participate in the program.
His favorite way to re-group and re-charge in the office is by interacting with his coworkers, he exclaimed, “It’s always a pick-me-up, and loose-leaf forest fruit flavored white tea is a close second!”
