Western Union Critical Facility Improvements

Beta Building located in Vilnius, Lithuania
RS&H provided an advanced design package as well as consulting services through the remaining design and post design phases for the critical infrastructure improvements to serve 540 new critical user workstations and a new 900-square-foor- high density regional data center. Critical mechanical/electrical infrastructure improvements included a 2N Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) and Cooling System to serve the regional data center and an N+1 UPS system to serve all user workstations. All critical loads were provided with 605 kVA of diesel standby generation.

Beta Annex Building located in Vilnius, Lithuania
RS&H provided an advanced design package as well as consulting services through the remaining design and post design phases for the critical infrastructure improvements to serve 200 critical user workstations and intermediate distribution frames (IDF). Critical mechanical/electrical infrastructure improvements included an N+1 UPS and cooling system to serve the IDF and an N+1 UPS system to serve all user workstations. All critical loads were provided with 275 kVA of diesel standby generation.

Regional Data Center located in Charlotte, North Carolina
RS&H provided full engineering design and construction administration services for capacity and redundancy improvements to the existing regional data center. Design services included an upgrade to the existing single non-redundant distribution path serving the technology equipment by incorporating a second active path for a distributed redundant topology while maintaining service to the technology equipment.
