Project Description

TIGER Grant Application for the JRTC

RS&H assisted the Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA) with a federal grant application package for the proposed Phase 1 development of the Jacksonville Regional Transportation Center (JRTC). RS&H prepared and modified the application document according to USDOT guidelines to pursue federal funding under the Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery (TIGER) program. The process required quick and efficient mobilization of professional planning team members and support in order to fast-track the application to meet the rigid requirements and deadlines of the program.

The process included determining grant application requirements and schedules, as well as other specific criteria; conducting in-depth document reviews, planning guidance searches, and data collection; and formatting for the purpose of completing and submitting the TIGER grant application. The team also conducted extensive research and assisted JTA in compiling and documenting numerous project details, including the project description; Federal Transit Administration and local priorities; social, economic, and environmental criteria; matching funds; time lines; architectural drawings; maps; and letters of support.
