Philadelphia International Airport
As part of a team of consultants, RS&H provided design services for the Stage 1 Airfield Development Project of the Capacity Enhancement Program for Philadelphia International Airport, a large-hub airport that plays a major role in the national air transportation network.
RS&H completed civil and electrical engineering design services for the 1,500-foot extension of Runway 27L and the establishment of associated taxiways. RS&H led the design efforts for airfield geometry, grading and drainage, airfield marking, lighting and signage, QA/QC process, and stakeholder coordination. This project included runway and taxiway Portland cement concrete pavement construction, airfield lighting upgrades, extensive construction phasing, cost estimating, and construction administration.
