RS&H is serving as lead designer for the New Ohio River Crossing P3/Design-Build project. This project includes construction of a new, long-span bridge that will connect West Virginia and Ohio. The scope of work involves long-span and approach bridge design and construction for a waterway crossing, design and construction for a bridge traversing OH 7, roadway design and construction for WV 2, geotechnical engineering with special attention to rock cuts and maintaining slope stability, construction engineering and inspection (CEI), and extensive coordination with the West Virginia Division of Highways (WVDOH), Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), Pioneer Trail Group, and two railway entities. RS&H is working in close coordination with design subconsultant COWI to develop final design of the new tied arch structure spanning the Ohio River. The new bridge will serve as a vital new transportation link across the river and help foster economic growth for the region.
