Economic and Fiscal Impact Analysis
Under an on-call contract with the Perimeter Community Improvement Districts (PCID), RS&H performed an economic impact analysis of several transportation projects and a fiscal impact analysis to evaluate the benefits provided by PCIDs. At the time of completion, this project was one of the few economic and impact studies of a CID in the Atlanta region.
The economic impact analysis looked at the improved mobility benefits against the direct cost expended by the PCIDs for the following transportation projects: GA 400/I-285 interchange reconstruction; GA 400/Hammond Drive half-diamond; and I-285/Ashford-Dunwoody diverging diamond interchange (DDI), which was the first DDI construction in Georgia.
The fiscal impact analysis evaluated the benefits provided by PCIDs to the state of Georgia, as well as the net fiscal impact on Fulton and DeKalb counties, and the cities of Sandy Springs, Dunwoody, and Brookhaven.
The report findings were presented at the semi-annual Perimeter Business Association Luncheon.
