City and County of Denver (CCD) Smart Cities Planning and ITS Readiness Assessment
For the City and County of Denver (CCD), our team (formerly of ITS Roads) reviewed Denver’s existing ITS infrastructure and architecture to compile a readiness assessment as the foundation of Denver’s Smart City initiative. To prepare for federal investments in new technology, CCD engaged Tony Ahmad and Julie Evans to conduct a thorough technical, policy, and operational review to identify key recommendations for strengthening the organization’s readiness to modernize.
Working with the City’s technical and program leadership, our team (formerly of ITS Roads) compiled a cohesive, actionable roadmap for Denver’s path forward in Smart Mobility. Working in close coordination with CCD staff, the team fully mapped Denver’s ITS operational environment to identify key interfaces for new software implementation and data management in future system expansions. From this work, our team understands the pressure on public agencies to modernize and the associated technical challenges of implementing new systems. Our team has helped the City overcome programmatic and technical obstacles to advance their Smart City mission.
