Bob Hope Airport
The Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority selected RS&H to provide on-call environmental consulting services at Bob Hope Airport. RS&H prepared NEPA documentation to allow the Authority to acquire adjacent property for use as a surface parking lot. The project included the reconfiguration of the on-Airport roadway system, expansion of the valet parking operation and the provision to connect to the regional train system station adjacent to the Airport. In addition, RS&H has prepared state environmental review documentation to allow the development of a baggage make-up and inspection building for airlines operating in Terminal B. The project included a 6,500-square-foot baggage inspection/make-up building south of the existing Terminal B, a temporary 4,500-square-foot building south of Terminal B to house rental car counters, and removal of the existing rental car counters in Terminal B.
Our Team designed the Runway Guard Lights (RGL) project, which included the design for the installation of LED in-pavement runway guard lights at each taxiway connector, re-circuiting of all runway exit signage to the associated runway edge light circuit, and replacement of the existing Precision Approach Path Indicators on Runway 8 and Runway 31. In addition to these designs, the remaining asphalt ramp and adjacent apron taxi lanes were also milled and replaced.
