Landing at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), it might not be apparent that one of the industrial-looking buildings on the ground contains a vibrant workplace, filled with collaboration, generous amenities and a showcase of company culture suitable for client and visitor tours.

After just nine weeks of design and five months of construction, RS&H transformed the cavernous shell space on DFW property to accommodate McKesson Specialty Pharmacy’s Texas operations. The project was recently recognized with an Award of Excellence from the North Texas Chapter of CoreNet Global, selected over several finalists for Workplace Strategy Interiors over 50,000 square feet.

In addition to accommodating 300 team members, McKesson also wanted to provide opportunities to showcase their business operations to existing clients and potential partners. Common areas were designed to serve as viewing gallery spaces to allow visitors to tour spaces with minimal disruption to operations.

Employee areas contain workstations, collaboration areas, private offices, conference rooms and focus rooms for acoustic privacy. Amenities like showers, lockers, fitness center, a café and training rooms were added to attract and retain associates. The entire space is designed and branded to promote McKesson corporate culture and teamwork.

RS&H and McKesson celebrated the Award of Excellence together, the latest collaborative success in a 10-year history encompassing numerous projects across North America.
