Our Atlanta office associates along with a few family members volunteered their time at the Atlanta Community Food Bank (ACFB). The RS&H group, along with 25 other people, sorted over 13,000 pounds of food which provided 8,700 meals in the Atlanta area.
It would only make sense that RS&H Transportation Planning Group Leader Rick Mobley is passionate about both engineering and barbecue. Both fields require precision, intensive study and, ultimately, the chase for perfection.
Perfection is where the two practices differ. Engineering projects can hit that mark, proven through mathematical equations that can be confirmed again and again.
Barbecue is a different story.

RS&H has designed a wide variety of buildings, including the transformation of a welding lab into a culinary arts facility and the design of a progressive healthcare research center. Some of these are even award-winning designs. But, with each unique building, our process of listening, collaborating, and quality-checking remains consistent.
With a rich history that dates back to 2006, RS&H has recognized the accomplishments of a Transportation-Infrastructure associate with the Harold V. Aiken Quality Award, which is a direct tribute to the exceptional loyalty and performance of our long-time colleague, Harold Aiken, who dedicated 58 years to our company and devoted much of his time and energy to building a positive, professional image through his outstanding work ethic.
Since 2014, associates of the Richmond office have donated hundreds of pounds of food to a local charity around the holidays. The Holiday Food Drive has expanded to other offices over the years and the competition has heated up. The office who donates the most food (measured by pounds donated per associate in the office) receives a trophy.
