RS&H associates recently volunteered their time to sort food at the distribution center for Feeding Northeast Florida, a Jacksonville food bank. Food sorters play a critical role in ensuring quality and safety of food items prior to leaving the facility. Donations can include anything from pantry items to fresh produce.
Since 2014, associates of the Richmond office have donated hundreds of pounds of food to a local charity around the holidays. The Holiday Food Drive has expanded to other offices over the years and the competition has heated up. The office who donates the most food (measured by pounds donated per associate in the office) receives a trophy.
In 1941, one architect and two engineers united together to create innovative infrastructure solutions for the country and ultimately, the world. Through the combined efforts of John F. Reynolds, Ivan H. Smith, and George B. Hills, RS&H was established.
The impact of their endeavor transcends air, land, and sea.
Earlier this year, Ecuador was devastated by a 7.8-magnitude earthquake. It was the strongest earthquake to strike the country in over 30 years. The effects were devastating, with over 600 fatalities and thousands more injured. After the earthquake’s destruction of many buildings and shopping centers, necessary supplies became difficult to obtain and distribute.
Every Christmas for 31 years now, children with severe and terminal illnesses have taken off on a Fantasy Flight for the destination every child wants to see around Christmas time: The North Pole.

Nearly 70 children from six Detroit-area hospitals boarded a Delta jet Friday at the Detroit airport and took off on their “supersonic” flight to a place where dreams come true. Making dreams come true is just what members of the Motown Silver Liners, a group made up of retired airline employees, aim to do every year.
