![]() Project Description: Realizing that integrating the multiple modes of Jacksonville’s transportation system is essential to the long-term economic and environmental health of the greater Jacksonville region, the City of Jacksonville, Jacksonville Transportation Authority, and Florida Department of Transportation are pursuing the development of a regional multimodal transportation center located downtown. The proposed Jacksonville Regional Transportation Center, which will serve as both a regional transportation hub and a gateway to downtown, will provide increased connectivity by linking all existing and planned transportation nodes in the region. RS&H prepared the site selection and feasibility and environmental studies, as well as performed preliminary engineering for the new transportation center. Upon EA/FONSI approval, the FDOT District Two Environmental Administrator complimented RS&H for producing a high-quality document that successfully addressed the wide range of transportation modes served by the new transportation center. RS&H is providing engineering services for the transportation center, consisting of train station, bus terminal, office building, and parking garage, which is designed to earn LEED Gold certification. |
