Design-Bid-Build Project

Springfield, Missouri

Client:
City of Springfield Airport Board

RS&H Role/Responsibility:
Architect, Engineer, and Planner

Project Description:

To respond to increasing demand for parking and security and as operational improvements for airlines, the City of Springfield’s Airport Board launched a program to construct a new commercial terminal building and related facilities. RS&H is serving as the lead architect, engineer, and planner for this replacement terminal area development program, which in addition to the terminal building, includes a loop access road, parking facilities, ARFF and fuel farm, aircraft apron with associated taxiways, and a primary arterial and/or controlled access expressway.

RS&H worked closely with the FAA and the Airport to develop an implementation schedule with staggered construction projects to accelerate the completion dates to meet available funding requirements.
