Project Description:

As the lead Architect and Engineer, RS&H was an integral part of the design-build team for the 334,183-square-foot Everglades High School. The high school was designed around the “H” plan concept which relies on a double axis with support spaces (cafeteria, auditorium and gymnasium) occupying the inner leg, academic components (classrooms, labs, etc.) in the front wing, and student-related administrative spaces, laboratories and media center in the center axis. The main entrance to the school is controlled by the administrative nucleus of the campus. Interior courtyards provide relief space for assembly functions.
